Chapter Summary
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) at the University of Puerto Rico in Humacao, is a Student Chapter organization of the Business Administration Department in our campus.

We are constantly working to develop professionally our members in HR Management through: Conferences, Plant Tours, Round Tables, Group Discussions, Social Activities, and more!
​
Also, we offer SHRM professional certifications in Human Resource Management. Engage yourself and be part of the biggest HR community in the nation.
Brief History
Since early the 1990's, the SHRM student chapter was founded at UPRH. Through all these years until today the chapter has been recognized in the SHRM Annual Conventions by winning the Superior Merit Award and Merit Award consecutively, also including the Outstanding Chapter award in many times. Annually, the Local Officers team have worked hard to bring the best professional development activities, bringing all their members a detail-oriented preparation for their HR careers. During the years we have developed alumni members that are working in the Government, Public and Private Administration, in international businesses, and other places.

SHRM UPRH celebrates its 32nd anniversary in this 2020! The SHRM student chapter was founded by Prof. Wanda Ortiz Arroyo, Chapter Advisor. For more information about us, we are located at the Office CA-239, second floor of the Administrative Sciences Building at UPRH, from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
